Fighter

From OberinWiki

Fighters are possibly the simplest class in Oberin, having only combat skills as their primes. In terms of statistics fighters have joint highest Strength, and as a result health with Rangers, the lowest Intelligence of all Classes, and Dexterity equal to their Strength. This makes them good at what they do, which is fight, but very ineffective if they attempt to use spells. Fighter's are often noted as strong warriors suited in full Plate Armor and carrying a Metal Shield along with a Weapon.

[edit] Tips & Tricks

A fighter's life is in his or her Equipment. The vast majority of fighters wear full Plate Armor whenever battle presents itself, the only exceptions being the use of Robes of Resistance when fighting Magic using Creatures, or when wearing a Robe of Protection to save Armor Rating points for a later time. Therefore it is very useful when creating a fighter to give 3 or 4 skill points in both Mining and Blacksmithing. Lumberjacking and Woodcrafting are also useful, as Boards are used in all Weapon crafting, but less important than Ferrite. Starting with these crafting skills instead of focusing on primes creates a character that is initially weaker, but far more able to sustain him or herself economically.

[edit] Skills

The fighter's critical strikes deal big damage.

Fighters have the following skills available:

Type Skills Max. Level
Primary Skills Melee, Special/Fighter, Parrying no limit
Economic Blacksmithing, Cooking, Fishing, Lumberjacking, Mining, Tailoring, Woodcrafting
Other Anatomy, Wrestling
Healing 5
Resisting Magic 4
